Prof. Marsha Kaitz, Director
Marsha Kaitz, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Psychology, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Her research interests focus on the mother-infant relationship and maternal behavior. She has been a principal investigator on research grants aimed at learning about the effects of maternal anxiety on infant and child development. She also is co-principal investigator on a NICHD grant aimed at the study of the intergenerational transmission of trauma as a result of exposure to terror. Marsha founded Mom2Mom in 2000, modeled after the Visiting Moms project, Jewish Family and Children Services, Boston, USA.
Naomi Tessler, Coordinator
Naomi Tessler, BSW, is a social worker, breast-feeding counselor, and coordinator of Momto Mom. After joining Mom2Mom in 2003 as a volunteer, she was hired as a coordinator of the home-visiting project and in 2008, founded the Mom2Mom playgroup in Jerusalem.
Miriam Chriki, Coordinator
Miriam Chriki, MA is a developmental psychologist and coordinator of Mom2Mom. Miriam has carried out research on differences in maternal and paternal behavior during the early postpartum period and has evaluated new intervention techniques for very young children with sensory and regulation disturbances. In parallel to coordinating Mom2Mom, Miriam works with young children with early signs of risk or pathology, including autism, and their families.
Jen Fruchter, Administrative Coordinator
Jen Fruchter, MBA, was a volunteer home visitor in Mom2Mom in 2019 and connected so deeply with the project that she initiated the founding of a Mom2Mom branch in her community, just outside of Jerusalem. Then, with an eye towards a more person-oriented and clinical- career, Jen joined the Mom2Mom-Jerusalem staff as the administrative coordinator. Jen’s expertise in tech and finance and her natural rapport with women will make her a new and wonderful addition to the Mom2Mom team.
Sheer Singer, Administrative Assistant
Sheer Singer, is a current student at the Hebrew University for a BA in Psychology and Social Work. She was born in the USA and moved to Israel in 2013. She works as the administrative assistant at the office of Mom2Mom.
Alysa Silberman, Coordinator
Alysa, who has a master's degree in rehabilitative psychology, is a graduate of a course for the training of psychosocial therapists in the field of fertility, from the Puah Institute.
She began her career at Mom2Mom as a volunteer and in 2019 joined the team as a coordinator.
